1) International application and registration
How and by when can I apply?
You can apply throughout the year. If you are an international student from outside the EU and you need to obtain a visa, we strongly advise you to apply until June 2023 at the latest, as the consular procedures can take a long time. Courses run from September to June.

Will I be reimbursed if my visa application is rejected?
In the event that the necessary student visa application is rejected, the full deposit may be refunded on presentation of the relevant documents and confirmation that the visa application process has been scrupulously followed. Half of the application fee (€600) will be retained by the school.
What are the payment procedures for non-EU first-time international students?
At the time of admission, a 1st payment of €3,200 (€2,000 deposit + €1,200 enrolment fee) is required to confirm your enrolment. On receipt of this payment, you will receive all the documentation you need to make the necessary arrangements in your own country. The balance of the tuition fees must be paid by 15 July 2023 at the latest.
Do I have to pay the €1200 registration fee every year?
No, the €1,200 registration fee is payable in the 1st year only. After that, the procedure will be the same as for EU students.
Can I do a work-study programme from the 1st year of study?
Yes, before you can sign an apprenticeship contract and obtain a work permit from the Ministry of the Interior, depending on your administrative situation. First-time foreign nationals from outside the European Union must first prove that they have completed a 1st year of initial training in France. Only sandwich courses are permitted. In this case, you will still have to pay for the training.
2) Budget
What is the budget for living in France as a student?
The cost of living is not the same in all French cities, and in Paris it is quite high. You can expect to pay an average of €800 a month in rent. Including the cost of food, transport, books and leisure activities, your budget should be at least
1,200 per month.
Can I work while I’m studying on my student visa?
The student visa allows you to work a maximum of 20 hours a week. Once you have obtained your timetable, you will have the opportunity to make arrangements if you wish to have a student job on the side.
